I did not use the original Mobil 1 oils. I started using Mobil 1 5W-30 in 1999 and continue to use it today in all of my vehicle.[USER = 1304] @TomNJ [/ USER] have you personally used this oil?
These engines use a POE based synthetic oil meeting either MIL-PRF-23699 or MIL-PRF-7808 specifications. Both contain about 95% POE plus anti-oxidants, anti-wear, and anti-corrosion additives. These oils are very light, equivalent to a 0W-8 or less. I formulated and sold these oils for many years.
